Week of September 23, 2019

It’s fall! At 3:50 a.m. on Monday morning Earth’s axis will be momentarily tilted neither toward nor away from the sun, making the sun’s position straight above our equator. Read more here and check out a cool map here. See you in the fall!

This Week in AP Physics
Due Monday: pages 30-32 of the unit 2 “workbook.” On Monday we will conduct an experiment on
Newton’s Second Law for which you will write a formal lab report ( Lab Report Writing Guide AP Physics and Lab Report Rubric AP Physics.) The next topic will be tension (physics tension, not emotional tension, although perhaps they accompany one another.) Then we’ll slide into friction during the last part of the week. The unit test will be next week (roo doo doo doo doo!)

This Week in Physics
On Monday we will take a quiz over
learning goal 3. Also for Monday please take notes on video 4 from unit 1. We will spend the first part of the week working with the kinematic equations and exploring free fall. This will include completing assignment 4 together in class. It is likely we will have the unit test on Friday.
