This Week in AP Physics
We will continue to explore the topics related to momentum in unit five. For Monday please complete the first packet of tremendously great problems. Beginning on Monday we will cover the conservation of momentum in closed systems through notes, another experiment, and more tremendously great problems and workbook pages. By the end of the week we will start looking at the role of energy in collisions, which is the last phase of this unit. Expect a unit test during the week of November 18. Test corrections for the unit four test are due by Thursday at 3:00, and your impulse-momentum theorem lab report is due by the start of class on Thursday. (Your revenge will be my burial in grading.) Be sure to use the Lab Report Writing Guide and Lab Report Rubric to guide your writing.
This Week in Physics
Please read the assignments for your class period. We may not get to all of this during this week, but it will be fun to try!
3rd period: Your human cannonball lab is due on Monday. We will continue to debrief video one from unit three and will begin assignment 1 in class followed by a quiz over goal set one as announced. By the date assigned in class, please take notes on video two from unit three covering friction. We will complete an experiment and assignment 2 in class.
11th period: On Monday we will complete the human cannonball experiment and will likely work on that during class on Tuesday, as well. On Tuesday and Wednesday we will continue to debrief video one from unit three and will complete assignment 1 in class followed by a quiz over goal set one as announced. By the date assigned in class, please take notes on video two from unit three covering friction. We will complete an experiment and assignment 2 in class.
